Talent is Rising - Sipra Roy
She had the dreams of painting. She took it as hobby. But Shipra Roy never thought that her profile will up graded in ArtOfColour. She did her high school diploma in Commerce, from Bally Bangshishu Balika Vidyalaya from Howrah. She was a school topper in Fine Arts.
But after class XII, she did not pursued art in graduation level. Moreover, she continued it as a hobby. She did her graduation in Commerce, from University Of Calcutta. In spite of staying away from the field of professional art training, she continued her love for art and is doing it for the last 10 years. Despite all the hazards, she is a fearless artist who likes to take risks by pushing the boundaries of painting. Her skills are based on sketching, oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas and watercolour. Her drawings were based on various themes United by love, decided by society and it also includes portrait of Lord Buddha. While on one hand where her painting showed that she was attracted by nature, on the other hand she showed devotional feeling to god by her painting. But despite of all these paintings, she is a good painting teacher. Exhibitions She never did any solo exhibition but participated in para exhibition. She was basically staying outside of West Bengal and participated in some group exhibition. She took part in a group exhibition from 11 – 15 November 2012, at Chemould Art Gallery, Park Street, Kolkata. Then she participated in 2013, Desh Bandhu club Napaatty Bally Howrah, where was invited by renowned artist Prakash Karmakar. After five years, she again participated in a group exhibition of Art Evolution, (ArtOfColour), at Abanindranath Art Gallery , Indian Council for cultural Relations , HO Chi Minh Kolkata from 26 to 28 January 2018.
